A Pakistani Couple abandoned their 15 months Daughter in Sharjah Hospital

A Pakistani couple abandoned their 15-month-old daughter and left the UAE although the girl is still lying in hospital suffering from brain damage after she survived a drowning accident at home in Sharjah.
Khadeeja nearly drowned in the bath at her home in the emirate on her first birthday on November 20 last year and was rushed to hospital where she was saved by doctors.
But she suffered from brain damage and was in coma for a long period of time.
Doctors said the child’s condition has stabilized and that she can return home but added that they could not reach any of her relatives to take her.
“Her uncle visited her a couple of times and told the hospital that her father and mother have left the UAE since the accident and never returned…her uncle has stopped visiting the girl and cannot be reached.
It said the hospital management is in touch with authorities in the emirate to transfer Khadeeja to the social care centre.
